It's time to J-Globalize your business

Intercultural communication and global business success programs like no other

Global English Mindset             C31

(G.E.M.) Intercultural Workshop B:

20 Rules for Leadership Situations

Build a motivated, effective English-speaking global management team

The problem is Japanese managers’ English can be too formal, unclear and silent (avoiding mistakes)

Get confident using natural, fun, proactive English communication style in global business situations.

I am not afraid to go overseas and speak English anymore.

Mechanical Engineer, Plant manufacturer

I will study English harder! Open Communication would be useful in the office and in the meeting with customers.

Sales Team Coordinator, Engineering Solutions Company

I learnt the importance of a smile and using gestures. I realized that I put on a stern face and used small gestures when I talked in English.

Purchasing Manager, Auto Parts Manufacturer

The Purpose of this workshop:

■ Become motivated to learn English faster and smarter, and join confidently in English discussions in intercultural business situations, using English you know.

Who is it for?

■ Japanese business people at beginner to intermediate English level who need to talk to overseas staff/customers/dealers or start English study to prepare for future global support roles.

■ Our interactive bilingual seminar style supports any class size: 2 to 200 people.

How will participants benefit?

■ Learn a friendly, clear persuasive open communication style for global success.

■ Communicate easily in English and build teamwork to know colleagues better.

■ Have a positive mindset, effective plan and ongoing language study methods.

Workshop Methodology

■ This program teaches intercultural communication in a practical way – first teaching the skills in simple practice activities focusing on fun, manager related topics – then using English in realistic role play situations

■ This program can be combined with other programs in various ways. For example before an L12 intercultural communication, L31 managing global staff in Japan, or L32 pre-departure program. This program can also be enjoyed after C1 GEM seminar for employees – the skills are the same, but the practice activities for managers are different.

■ The half day or short program teaches the skills with practice in similar scenarios. The full day program also practices the skills again using cases and an ongoing role-play relevant for managers in Japan doing global business, making overseas trips or on longer assignments.

Program highlights

■ Understand 20 rules combining intercultural communication, positive thinking and language speed learning theory so participants develop a confident “English personality” for managing global staff and projects

■ Informal, fun way of learning by practicing English phrases for useful situations in pairs and small groups, coached by the trainer and optionally supported by our global business interns.

■ Our J-Global bilingual interactive learning style supports mixed language levels and large class sizes. All methods and phrases provided bilingually in text, slides and demonstrations.
